Isle of Man Post Office launches eight-stamp collection
The Island's nurses and midwives are being commemorated in a new set of stamps.
The Isle of Man Post Office says the collection of eight stamps coincides with International Nurses Day (12 May) marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale.
2020 has also been branded the Year of the Nurse and Midwife by the World Health Organisation.
The post office says this set is to show their collective gratitude to health care workers, "celebrating the vital role nurses and midwives play in our lives."
In the collection, eight of the sectors of Island nursing are to be represented - featuring Nelly Brennan, Esther Jane Bridson and Sarah Forester, "three nurses who were pivotal in the development of nursing in the Isle of Man."
