Nineteenth year for Royal London 360 cyclist sponsorship

The Isle of Man’s junior cyclists will be sponsored by Royal London 360° for a 19th consecutive year.

The Royal London 360° Isle of Man youth cycling League, which is where ‘Manx Missile’ and British Olympic hopeful Mark Cavendish began his career, provides a foundation for junior cyclists of all ages to develop their skills.

As well as weekly practice sessions at the NSC in Douglas between April and August for three to 16 year olds and spinning sessions at the Braaid Hall, a number of youngsters compete successfully off-Island at UK and Irish National events.

Royal London 360° is donating £5,700 to the youth cycling league which will help it to provide weekly training sessions and necessary equipment for junior members, as well as support off-Island trips training and competitions.

Organiser of the Royal London 360° Isle of Man youth cycling league, Dot Tilbury says “The support of Royal London 360° over the last 18 years has been vital in helping some of the Island’s flagship sports stars, including Mark Cavendish, to realise their potential.
