No immediate job losses expected at Lloyds

The minister for economic development doesn't believe Lloyds Bank in the Isle of Man will be affected by the latest stringent job cuts within the organisation.

The union representing staff at the Lloyds banking group says it can't understand where the company could make more cuts, after a further 15,000 job losses were announced.

Lloyds has already lost nearly 30,000 posts since its merger with HBOS in 2009.

Allan Bell says he has spoken to the bank on the Island and is optimistic there will be no immediate cuts to the local workforce:
