A conference on the effects of the global financial crisis on the space industry is to be held at the International Business School.
On November 18 and 19, the International Institute of Space Commerce will conducts a workshop to discuss and analyse the fallout from the situation on the sector.
Although the industry has not been badly hit so far, it is expected that the low growth reported in some countries will lead to a reduction in orders in future years.
The Isle of Man is home to several space companies and financiers but participants in the conference will also come from France, the United States and the United Kingdom.
