Open skies policy a 'disincentive' to new businesses

Passenger pressure group welcomes review

A former Manx Airlines boss says the current 'open skies' policy acts as a disincentive to businesses considering setting up on the Island.

This week it was revealed government will be reviewing it.

Terry Liddiard, who is now a spokesman for the Travelwatch pressure group, believes it's overdue. 

He says lifeline routes shouldn't be exposed to a 'winner takes all' environment:
