Part of Bridson & Horrox sold

Major Brit retailer buys IoM stock

Part of a well known Manx business has been bought out by a big UK company.

Bridson and Horrox's stationery and furniture sections have been bought by office products dealer Egan Reid.

It's now trading under the BHX Stationery and Furniture brand, while Bridson & Horrox has retained ownership of its print and design, signage, business machines and promotional gifts divisions.

Eight members of staff have transferred to BHX Stationery & Furniture, and they will continue to share office and warehouse space with Bridson & Horrox.

Egan Reid’s joint managing directors and owners Andrew and Martin Reid, said the acquisition would give the company an expansion opportunity and allow it to get closer to existing clients in the Isle of Man, offering them a higher level of service.
