Pokerstars talks to disgruntled players

Manx-based Pokerstars has met French players who held a protest over changes to the site's VIP programme.

More than 100 online poker players refused to play at the company's French site, claiming the changes meant they would lose out on loyalty points which can be redeemed for cash and tournament entries.

In response, the firm arranged for players to fly to the Isle of Man from France to tour its offices and talk to founder Isai Scheinberg.

According to clubpoker.net, which arranged the protests, the talks went well and most players are ready to start playing again.
