Strand a showcase for home-grown innovation
Isle of Man Post Office is to sponsor a key strand at ISLEXPO next week - in a tie-up which will see the company showcase its latest innovations.
Over two days (24-25 May) Digital Lab run by Google Digital Garage will offer delegates advice on deploying digital skills to expand and develop their businesses.
The post office says its sponsorship offers 'the perfect platform' to support the expo and DED, and highlight its own digital capabilities.
These include MiCard, used to streamline the collection of benefits and pensions in post office branches, along with a scan and digital hosting package commissioned for the Isle of Man Government's 2016 Census.
Digital Lab's workshops will cover topics including Tell Your Story Online and Know Your Business with Google Analytics.
Department of Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly said: "The Isle of Man has a thriving e-Business sector and we have invested heavily in skills development, training over 200 people in ICT at the Job Centre and creating a new ICT apprenticeship scheme."
He added:" ISLEXPO's Digital Lab will give people a further opportunity to hone their skills online and future-proof our businesses."
