Something like seventeen hundred Manx home owners will be asked for their permission to have officers run their eyes over their property.
The voluntary survey will tell the Government the general condition of private houses and flats and where problems in the housing stock exist.

John Howie, Environmental/Public Health Unit Manager says, by and large, owners are quite happy to let the survey take place and indeed enjoy chatting about their homes.
The survey will start next month ( October) and run through to December.
