There has been a mixed reaction from the people of Castletown to the news there is going to be a new supermarket there.
A Tesco Express store is due to open in Callow's Yard early next year.
Site owner Roy Tilleard says it will create 20 jobs, adding that 'competition is no bad thing'.
But traders are concerned about the impact the new outlet could have on existing businesses.
