The Manx government will need to keep a watching brief, after Wednesday's UK Budget threw the spotlight on the self-employed.

 

That is the view of a tax partner at a local accountancy firm.

From next month, higher-paid self-employed people in the UK will face a hike in their National Insurance contributions.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn says the measure is ‘entirely out of touch’ with working people.
