Applications for endorsements can now be done digitally
The Isle of Man Ship Registry says it’s moving a number of its services online to improve its efficiency and ease of use.
The registry says it will now take applications from seafarers who crew Manx-flagged ships over the internet.
The new system has been tested by two of the organisation’s largest clients and is now being expanded to include all those who use the register.
Isle of Man Ship Registry director Dick Welsh says both staff and clients see huge advantages in the online system, which he hopes will help the Island stay ahead of the competition.
