Silver accolade for Creamery cheese

Isle of Man Creamery's Vintage Cheddar hit the spot with judges at a UK food awards event.

Isle of Man Creamery is toasting continued success for its Vintage Cheddar after winning recognition at an awards event for the industry's creme de la creme.

The Creamery was among almost 200 cheese makers to exhibit at the British Cheese Awards at May's Royal Bath and West Show, where the company secured a silver medal for the product.

Firms from across Britain and Ireland together submitted well over 1000 cheeses for consideration by a panel of judges.

The Creamery's Vintage Cheddar has previously won a bronze medal in the same category.

Managing Director Findlay Macleod said "It’s hugely gratifying to be recognised again at a national level, in this celebration of British cheeses. The Silver Medal is welcome recognition of the high level of skill and care taken by our cheese makers, and I couldn't be prouder of the staff here."
