New venture for Island CSP
Manx-based wealth management company SMP Partners is moving into the Caribbean.
The company’s announced it’s to buy RBC’s trust, custody and fund businesses in the region.
The buyout will need regulatory approvals which are expected to take few months to complete.
SMP Partners Group chairman Steve McGowan says the acquisition will establish a presence in the Caribbean and further extend the firm’s global network – it already has offices in Switzerland, Hong Kong and Dubai.
