SMP enters Jersey e-gaming sector

Firm opens office with JFSC licence

Isle of Man corporate service provider SMP Partners is to tap the potential for e-gaming business in competitor offshore jurisdiction Jersey.

The firm says the opening of a new office in Jersey, and the recent award of a CSP licence from Jersey's Financial Supervision Commission (JFSC), signal a new chapter for the group.

SMP Partners Managing Director Mark Denton said the firm "has a pipeline of business already established in the Channel island", and predicts building a significant presence in the market.

He added: "The expansion will help us to further diversify our business and revenues, as well as creating additional career opportunities for our colleagues."

The Jersey office will be managed by Katy Stopford who will relocate from the SMP's gaming division in the Isle of Man.
