
As one of the Island's major retailers expands its range of goods, its cash generating powers have been underlined.
The Marks and Spencer store in Strand Street, Douglas is ranked just outside the top 20 in a list of all the high street stores in the northern UK area.
It's now stocking high tech items such as high definition televisions, laptop computers, games consoles and mobile phones, a move which is likely to prove challenging to a number of local specialist outlets.
