Multi-gigabit speeds to be '20-40 times faster'
Telecoms provider Sure has announced it will trial 5G technology on the Isle of Man later this year.
The company says it's currently going through an international tender process to select a supplier for the scheme, which will be announced in the coming months.
Group CEO Ian Kelly says 'this is a great opportunity for the Island to be at the leading edge of mobile innovation'.
Sure also claims the fifth generation of mobile network technology will bring 'multi-gigabit speeds' that are '20-40 times faster than what can be achieved now'.
