The Manx Treasury has updated its sanctions regime against Al-Qaida and the Taliban, adding one name to its watchlist.
Afghani Jallalouddine Haqani is 66 years old and was Minister of Frontier Affairs under the Taliban regime.
He is an active Taliban leader who is believed to be in the Afghanistan/Pakistan border area.
Financial institutions should check for accounts funds, assets, or resources belonging to him, and if any are found freeze them and contact the government’s Sanctions Officer.
