Employers notified of all changes
The Income Tax Division is preparing to issue 2019/20 tax codes to people in employment.
It follows changes in personal allowances announced in last month's budget.
A single person's allowance went up from £13,250 to £14,000, whilst jointly assessed couples increased from £26,500 to £28,000.
If the only change to an employee’s tax code is as a result of the above, a coding notice (form T1) will not be issued to the employee. Employers, however, will be notified of all changes to their employees’ tax codes.
The Division says anyone with concerns or questions regarding their tax code should contact the Income Tax office on 685 400 or in person on 2nd floor, Government Office, Buck’s Road, Douglas.
Office opening hours are Mon to Thurs 9.15am - 5pm, Fri 9.15am - 4.30pm. You can also email the Customer Service Team on incometax@itd.treasury.gov.im
