Late filers given grace
The taxman has offered an extension to Manx residents and companies who missed a deadline yesterday because of a breakdown in the government's IT system.
A software upgrade last weekend triggered problems with the online tax return facility - leaving users unable to log-on or complete forms.
Corporate and individual taxpayers with a return that was due to be filed between last Saturday and 6 April have been granted an extension until the close of business on Monday 11 April.
The Director of Government Technical Services Mark Lewin has apologised for the loss of service - but says the problems should not dent the confidence of the Manx public to use online services:
