Michael MHK Alf Cannan says he has withdrawn a question he was due to ask in the House of Keys next week after talking to Treasury Minister Eddie Teare.
Mr Cannan was due to quiz Mr Teare about taxing chain retailers on the Island, instead of allowing them to pay all their tax in the United Kingdom or elsewhere.
But Mr Teare told him that particular issue was already being looked at by civil servants who were weighing the pros and cons of such a system.
Mr Cannan says he is happy to wait and see what the Treasury comes up with:
Doors officially re-open on newly-refurbished Whitestone Inn
Surge in interest from off-Island in Manx properties, says agent
Sight Matters: Meet the Matrons
Island subjected to spike in sophisticated scam attacks
