Management of the firm Domicilum have shown Chief Minister Tony Brown round their new premises, the former Ronaldsway Shoe Company factory opposite the Island's Airport.
Mr Brown posed inside the cab of a crane while a new generator, one of a quartet due to be installed, was lowered into place.
He was then given a tour of the inside of the building, where Domicilium will be moving in the Autumn. The company's current headquarters building is in Castletown.
Chief Executive Officer Andy Swearman says the company is 'increasing its scale because of demand'. It will be one of the first 'next generation' data centres in Europe'.
One aspect will be a modular data centre where customers can tell the firm what they require and have it delivered.
