
The Minister for Trade and Industry, David Cretney, is being asked to think again about plans to withdraw wage subsidies for apprentice plumbers.
There are concerns it could reduce the number of people taking up the trade and, following a meeting earlier this week, a call is being made for further discussions involving all interested parties.
Trades Council Social Legislation Officer Peter Murcott (pictured) believes there's a need for a re-evaualtion:
