The computer operating system produced by Douglas-based Canonical Software has won the Best Desktop Solution at a prestigious industry conference.
Version 8.04 LTS took first prize at the LinuxWorld Conference and Expo 2008 in San Francisco for the second year running.
Judged by a group of industry experts, the Product Excellence Awards recognise product and service innovations.
Ubuntu, a version of Linux, is installed on millions of computers around the world and competes with Microsoft Windows.
