University College Isle of Man is rolling out seven new degree courses.
The subject areas cover art, health and social care and sport.
All courses are accredited by the University of Chester in the United Kingdom.
Those studying for a degree in health and social care can specialise in children and young people, end of life care, mental health studies and public health.
The academic institute says it recently held meetings with employers and managers from the adult care sector on the future of training and skills required to support the Island’s care sector.
Those meetings have followed the announcement from Isle Learn of its intention to permanently close its doors earlier this year.
‘Sport leadership and development’ and ‘sport science for sport performance’ have been added to the educators offering.
And a ‘creative visual practice’ undergraduate course is now available for those hoping to develop skills in a range of artistic disciplines which would see a range of career doors open including product design, fashion, marketing and film production among others.
University College Isle of Man is holding an opening evening on 16 November from 4pm.
