Unemployment fell last month, according to the latest figures from the government.
Data from the Treasury’s economic affairs division shows 1,056 people were jobless in June, giving an unemployment rate of 2.4 per cent.
Although 30 men signed off the unemployment register, an extra 14 women signed on.
And at the end of the month, those out of work were chasing just 291 vacant jobs held on file at the Job Centre.
