Unregistered investment company using fake Douglas address

FSA says those investing in firm could be victims of fraud

A fake company using an address in Douglas that doesn't exist has been offering investment opportunities and asking for upfront payments.

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority is warning anyone who has dealt with Jamie Phillip Azzorpardy or Pardi FX that they could be a victim of fraud.

Documents sent to those being asked to invest say the business is registered at 31 James Street in Douglas, but there is no such address in the Isle of Man.

The authority says no company is registered on the Isle of Man with the name Pardi FX, and that it's claims to be registered with the FSA are false.

Anyone who has had dealings with Mr Azzorpardy or the company are being advised to contact the police, as they could become a victim of fraud or identity theft.
