E-sports gaming and streaming among new concepts
A US-based company will work with the Department for Enterprise to produce what it describes as "media projects" for the Isle of Man TT.
The Department says the deal with Pilgrim Media as well as new media firm Digital Circus will include long-term proposals for TV, film, e-sports gaming and streaming, such as the first-ever live footage of the races.
The exact details of the projects haven't been released, but a statement revealed an Isle of Man-based operation will employ local workers plus freelance contractors and suppliers from the film and media industry.
The DfE insists all existing rights contracts will remain in place, such as those to produce and distribute highlights programmes, but this collaboration will grow global reach without using public funds.
