Three quarters of forms currently submitted digitally
The process of filling out your VAT return will only be possible online from next month.
Government says three-quarters of said forms are currently submitted through its website.
The previously optional system is going to be mandatory from April, and according to Treasury it will provide 'greater online functionality'.
Anyone that isn't enrolled for online services at the moment will automatically receive a code to activate their account in their next VAT return.
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan says they acknowledge some people may have concerns and questions, and there's full support in place for those that need it.
