Venda’s shopping directory and retail websites will be hosted off-Island, Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney has revealed.
He told the House of Keys the whole system and software setup, which puts Manx shops online, means everything is hosted by the company in the UK.
Mr Cretney told MHKs if the scheme took off, then Venda would consider relocating the hosting services to the Isle of Man.
He also faced questions about how many Manx shops have signed up so far and revealed 22 had put ink on contracts with Venda.
