A graduate, described as a "vociferous campaigner for changes to Isle of Man student maintenance grants," is the latest recruit at Manx law firm, DQ.

Former Ballakermeen High School student Kathryn Sharman joins the company, having graduated from the University of Hull earlier this year.

Miss Sharman joins DQ's specialist regulatory and compliance team, in a role which varies from advising clients on information requests from foreign tax and criminal authorities, as well as regulatory and enforcement matters, the firm says.

Despite only being in position for a short time, DQ says she has already started studying for an International Compliance Association Diploma.
