Ramsey Bakery is making efforts to avoid running out of yeast.
Yesterday (Tuesday), managing director Jim Duncan said supplies were very low, and if the next four Steam Packet sailings were cancelled production of bread would cease.
Those crossings were cancelled, but today he told the BBC he hoped it wouldn't be necessary to stop production.
Ramsey Bakery is trying to bring in supplies of yeast by air, or on the Mezeron freight service from Ireland.
The company makes and sells about 10,000 loaves a day on the Island.
