
Health Minister David Anderson says the Island currently has 139 pensioners waiting for replacement joints at Noble’s Hospital.
He gave the figure in a deferred answer to a question for written response from Onchan MHK Zac Hall about people on waiting lists.
Mr Anderson revealed 50 people over the age of 65 are waiting for replacement hips, with another 89 waiting for replacement knees.
Of those, 137 patients are classed as routine referrals while just two are classed as urgent by Orthopaedic consultants.
