273 approvals were issued for people fleeing war

A total of 123 Ukrainians came to the Isle of Man via the Homes for Ukraine Scheme from February 2022 to January 2024.

Data has been released following an FoI request asking how many people were granted permission to come to the Island when fleeing the Russian war.

The figures released show 150 individuals have been granted status under the Isle of Man ‘Ukrainian Schemes’ as of July 2026.

Just over £153,000 was spent between 2022 and 2024 on supporting the refugees and their sponsors on the Island.

The immigration schemes for Ukrainians seeking to escape conflict closed earlier this year.
