A thirty year scheme to increase woodland cover in the Ramsey area is officially underway - despite the less than ideal conditions.
The Ramsey Forest Project should have been launched on New Year's Day, but it had to be called off due to high winds and rain.
It's hoped the RFP will create a 10% increase in the number of trees around Ramsey by 2044, benefitting both the environment and the local economy.
Whilst the weather seems little better today than on the first of January, Project Manager Andree Dubbeldam says there's been a good turnout.
