29-year-old told his 'behaviour went too far'
A Ballasalla man has been fined after being caught repeatedly slapping a customer in a Douglas bar.
Zachary John Morton, of Rushen Abbey, was described as being in a ‘drunken state’ at Jaks Bar and Smokehouse in the early hours of 27 November.
The 29-year-old admitted being disorderly on licensed premises during an appearance at Douglas Courthouse.
Morton’s advocate described her client's conduct as ‘annoying’ adding: "Mr Morton accepts his behaviour went too far."
Fining Morton £500, and ordering him to pay prosecution costs of £125, Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood told him: “It seems to be more to do with stupidity on your part than anything else.”
