CAMHS service sees 42% increase in caseload over two years
More than six percent of the population would be open to receiving help from mental health services on the Isle of Man.
The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service has seen a 42 per cent increase in its caseload over the last two years.
Manx Care had described it as an 'enormous increase' and admitted it’s 'really struggled' to manage the strain on its resources.
Ross Bailey is the general manager for the Integrated Mental Health Services and Mick Fleming is the associate director of nursing.
They say the health body has to get better at early recognition and early intervention:
