Search starts despite claims operating model was being reviewed
Efforts are underway to recruit a new airport director despite the future operating model of the airport seemingly being up for discussion.
The Department of Infrastructure is searching for someone to help operate, manage, maintain and develop Ronaldsway Airport.
Last month it was confirmed that Paul Clarkson was rejoining the department as interim airport director while the future operating model is 'confirmed' by the new administration.
He had served as the deputy between 2006 and 2018 and replaces Ann Reynolds who officially vacated her post yesterday (31 October) following 14 years in the job.
A job advert for a permanent, full time position has now gone live – with a starting salary of £82,797 per year and potential relocation package of £10,000.
Whoever is appointed will be responsible for running a 'safe and efficient' airport as well as advising on service provision, meeting the aviation needs of the community and generating revenue.
