New bus service connects Peel with the south of the Island
More than 300 people used the newest bus service on the Island on Saturday, according to the infrastructure minister. (9 August)
The 8S launched for the first time over the weekend with trips from Peel to the south of the Island, including Cregneash and the Sound.
It's part of the Department of Infrastructure's Transport Strategy to ensure more connectivity throughout the Island.
Michelle Haywood says she's hopeful the service would continue to be viable in the winter too:
Court orders return of property seized by police
Number of bus services cancelled or at risk today
Charity to connect elderly people with services at event
