Speaking to Public Health as Action and Implementation Plan published
Public Health Isle of Man says government's harm reduction approach to drugs isn't about 'being soft'.
In May Tynwald approved policy principles in relation to how the Island reduces the harms caused by illegal drugs.
That followed a report published in 2024, which highlighted the need to move away from a criminal justice-based approach to one focussing on public and harm reduction.
We've now seen the publication of an Action and Implementation Plan which includes; improving education and awareness and prioritising treatment and support.
