Accountant appears in court

Used pseudonym and false company name

A chartered accountant who "duped" clients out of at least £12,600 has been committed to the court of General Gaol Delivery.

29 year old Daniel Fitzpatrick of Ballalough Estate Andreas, pleaded guilty to five charges of deception and two of attempted deception committed between January 2009 and September 2014, whilst he was working for Ocra Isle of Man Limited in Ramsey.

Fitzpatrick used the pseudonym "Ben Franco" and claimed to be working for a company called ATC.

The prosecution said he had duped clients into believing it was a genuine company they were dealing with.

Fitzpatrick will appear at the court of General Gaol Delivery on the 27th of July.
