Additional £13.8m needed for Liverpool ferry terminal

Infrastructure Minister to ask for approval in Tynwald

An extra £14m is being sought by the Department of Infrastructure for the construction of the new ferry terminal in Liverpool.

A supplementary order paper, released just ahead of the start of this month's Tynwald sitting, shows Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker will ask the court to approve an additional £13.8m spending.

It's on top of the already approved £38m, with the DoI citing the impact of Covid-19 and remedial works at the site among the reasons for the additional costs.

Construction work got underway at the site in January last year.
