 
                            DoI seeks approval from Treasury to cover cost of coal tar advisor
The Department of Infrastructure has applied to Treasury for additional funds for work to connect the Ballasalla bypass to Balthane roundabout.
Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall has confirmed the request for funds to cover the appointment of a coal tar advisor is currently being considered by Treasury.
The department is currently targeting a completion date for the project of April 2026, which was previously estimated to cost £1.9m.
Mr Crookall says the finishing touches won't be put on the bypass until the roundabout is complete:
