The treasury minister has apologised for the error
The treasury minister has apologised after an administrative error led to rates demands for the wrong amount being issued to residents in Andreas.
Around 750 properties in the northern parish were asked to pay at the incorrect rate of 175.4p instead of 181.7p.
Revised demands along with a covering letter apologising for the mistake have been issued to those affected today.
Chris Thomas says he apologises for the error within Treasury, and has thanked Andreas Parish Commissioners and the MHKs for the area for bringing it to his attention.
Manx Radio asked the Minister if any other local authorities have been affected by the issue:
He confirmed that was not the case.
