An agreement in principle has been reached for Manx Radio to provide radio commentary for TT 2019 and the Festival of Motorcycling.
The Department for Enterprise says a long-term decision around radio coverage is expected to be considered alongside a report Manx Radio is due to present to Tynwald later this year.
It adds that detailed contract discussions are now well underway and expect to be finalised shortly.
