Bad weather cancelled opening day
The Royal Manx Agricultural Show at Knockaloe is going ahead today.
Organisers announced their contingency plans yesterday afternoon and have firmed those up early this morning, following the cancellation of the opening day.
Wet and windy weather put paid to Friday's proceedings.
The event is due to open at 9am with the full programme set to go ahead, including all the livestock classes.
There will be no vehicular access to the main show field for trade stand holders, but there will be help available to carry stock to their stands.
It’s wet and muddy underfoot, so organisers suggest you wear appropriate attire.
