Charity needs to buy specialist equipment for its helicopter to travel across Irish Sea
All money raised by the Great North Air Ambulance Service on the Isle of Man is used to support Manx patients.
That's from the charity's dedicated Isle of Man fundraiser Mandy Karsa, as the organisation seeks to raise around £140,000 this year to enable it to serve the Island.
Since it started serving the Island in March 2022, it's received more than 60 callouts to the Island, and takes around 35 minutes to reach the Island from its base across.
Over the weekend, the team had a stand at the Royal Manx Agricultural Show, and while there met two families who'd had a relative's life saved by the GNAAS crew.
The service, which provides pre-hospital critical care, agreed a new five-year contract with Manx Care earlier this year.
While some of its costs are met by healthcare provider, Mandy says GNAAS also needs to buy extra equipment to enable its helicopter to travel across the Irish Sea:
