Governor and President of Tynwald attending
Today (Sat) is Laxey Fair day.
Proceedings get underway at 1.15pm, with a parade from the centre of the village to the festival site in the historic Valley Gardens.
The guests of honour this year are His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor, accompanied by Lady Gozney, and the President of Tynwald Steve Rodan.
A tried and tested format will see performances from a silver band, folk dancers, and Laxey School pupils dressed in traditional costume.
There are also plenty of stalls and exhibits on offer throughout the afternoon.
