Ramsey GP's keen for people to have right to choose when to die
A Private Members Bill that could pave the way for the legalisation of assisted dying on the Island will begin its passage through the House of Keys today (27 June).
It will be moved by Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson.
He's told Manx Radio his support for the right of the individual to choose when to end their life has been shaped by his experiences as a GP.
Dr Allinson says he's spent a lot of time providing palliative care for people in their own homes:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
