Yellow weather warning also issued
An amber weather warning has been issued for Thursday as Storm Ellen makes her way towards the Island.
Issued by the IOM Met office earlier today, the warning is for coastal overtopping and comes into force at 11 o clock tomorrow morning and is due to be in place until 3pm.
Areas at risk include the central and northern parts of Douglas promenade, Castletown prom, Shore Road, Rushen, Laxey prom and parts of Ramsey prom.
A yellow weather warning for gales has also been forecast to come into force from 2am until 7am tomorrow.
The wind is expected to reach up to 55mph.
